I'm trekking to Machu Picchu for a good cause and you can help!
I have committed my heart (literally and figuratively) and my legs to a 9-day trek in March 2020, through rugged territory in Peru, to reach the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu. I turned 40 this year and wanted to challenge myself while supporting a charity I believe in. So, I've joined a team of Cuso International trekkers who are hiking to raise money to continue Cuso's transformative work around the world.
I'll be trekking an average of 6-8 hours per day at high altitude, so I'll think of you and your support when the going gets tough on my trek. You will be my own personal cheering section!
By supporting me and CUSO, you will be entered into a draw to win tickets to Hamilton the Musical in Toronto. Please read the contest rules here for more information. http://katscontestrules.yolasite.com/ (Please be advised that raffle ends on January 10th at 11:59pm. Winners will be announced January 11th, 2020).
Thank you in advance for your support (moral and monetary) and being a part of creating positive and lasting change,
Kat
Will you join me by making a donation?
My goal is to raise $4,000 for Cuso International and I hope you will consider making a gift today in support of my campaign. The best thing about your donation is that for every $1 you donate the Canadian Government will provide $9. That means your $50 donation becomes $500 and your $100 donation becomes $1000! And all donations of $10 or more will receive a tax receipt.
Why Cuso International?
Cuso International has worked since 1961, sending skilled Canadian volunteers to work in developing countries to reduce poverty and inequality, as well as tackling human rights issues. Cuso International has a long history of helping local partners in the Andean Region and this challenge is helping women and girls gain the skills they need for building small business and lasting employment becoming more self-sufficient in the process and creating a better future for their families and their community.
FYI: All donations will go to Cuso directly; all travel costs and personal expenses regarding this challenge, eg. insurance, flights etc, will be paid by me personally.
Since 1961, Cuso International has been working to reduce poverty and inequality through the efforts of volunteers, partners, and donors. Each year Cuso International mobilizes hundreds of professionals who volunteer side-by-side with local partners to create positive and lasting change.
