Welcome to my fundraising page.
I have accepted a one-year placement with Cuso International in Colombia! I will be working as an organizational and sustainable development advisor for a small fair-trade, organic agro-industrial company called Fruandes.
More specifically, I will be working with 6 small fruit producer associations supported by Fruandes for the production of organic, dehydrated fruit for export.
What I found most interesting about this project is that the Canadian company partnering with Fruandes to distribute their products in Canada is our own local Level Ground Trading. Level Ground is well known for its commitment to ethical and fair trade of organic products from around the Global South.
As part of my journey with Cuso International, I am fundraising $2000 to help sustain their vital work and enable them to mobilize volunteers, like myself. I hope you will consider making a gift today in support of my campaign.
Together we can give hope and change lives! Cuso International is a development organization that works to reduce poverty and inequality through the efforts of highly skilled volunteers, collaborative partnerships and compassionate donors.
Right now, for every $1 you donate the Canadian Government will provide $9. That means a $25 contribution becomes $250 and a $100 gift becomes $1000!
Your donation is tax deductible, and I truly appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Alvaro Moreno
