Cuso International

Karl & Wendy Flecker

Greetings,

Wendy and I are headed to Myanmar in early Jan 2019! We are looking forward to our next challenge where we will be living for at least the next year.

We will be volunteering with community-based groups committed to supporting inclusive civic engagement within an emerging democracy.

Wendy will be working with the Mon's Women's Network, on a project to address violence against women.

I will be assisting the National Enlightenment Institute who is advancing a democratic state building project. My work will focus on lending support in the areas of leadership skills and organizational development.

We hope you will be interested in hearing more about this next chapter in our social justice work, and we welcome and need your financial support, as we will be volunteering our time, skills and experience.

Cuso International, a development agency that works to reduce poverty and inequality through the efforts of skilled volunteers, collaborative partnerships and compassionate donors, has facilitated our placements.

Wendy and I need to raise $4000 to support this work and to help mobilize more volunteers, like us. We hope you will join us to extend solidarity, hope and change lives! Right now, for every $1 we raise the Canadian Government will provide $9. That means a $25 contribution becomes $250 and a $100 contribution becomes $1000. Our goal of $4000 becomes $40,000!!

Any donations over $10 receive a tax receipt, and enable us to keep you posted on our work in Myanmar. Please click on the Donate NOW button.
